PURÓLEO is a big Amazon.ca seller, with 3,325 ratings on its 236 ml neem oil. The bottles are packed in Canada, and the listing gives India as the country of origin. The regular 236 ml is $14.99 ($6.35 per 100 ml). The organic version is $24.99 for the same 236 ml, or $10.59 per 100 ml, which is more than double Plant of Life's organic price per ml at 16 oz.
Best tiny bottle: NOW Solutions
NOW Solutions sells a 30 ml neem oil on Well.ca for $16.79. It is pure neem oil, and NOW suggests adding two or three drops to your lotion, shampoo or conditioner. Small is handy for a first try, but at $55.97 per 100 ml it is the most expensive per ml here. Plant of Life's 60 ml bottle is twice the size for $12.99.

Penny Lane Organics is a Canadian brand selling 100% pure, raw, unrefined neem oil in a 100 ml bottle for $25.99. Despite the brand name, the ingredient list on Well.ca does not say organic, so check the bottle if that matters to you.
What to look for when buying
- One ingredient. For skin and hair, the label should say neem oil (Azadirachta indica) and nothing else. Garden products are often pre-mixed.
- Cold-pressed and unrefined. These keep the oil closest to how it comes from the seed, smell and all.
- Organic on the ingredient line. A brand name with "organic" in it is not the same as an organic ingredient.
- Price per 100 ml. Tiny bottles look cheap and cost the most per ml. Do the math before you buy.
- Expect it to go solid. Pure neem firms up in the cold. That is normal, not a defect.

Why did my neem oil turn solid?
Neem oil is rich in fatty acids, so it firms up when it is cool. Plant of Life notes it is normal for the oil to solidify below 25°C. Place the sealed bottle in warm water for a few minutes before each use and it will pour again. This does not harm the oil.
